One Year After The Departure

It has been a year had passed after I decided to close my Facebook account to stop my addiction and to protect myself from further risks.

LEAVING IS HARD, NOT LEAVING OR GOING BACK IS HARDER.

I know, it sounds sad, but I'm still a part of the Foldabots Community. Still here, blogging about Foldabots, even if I don't have much info about the next Foldabot or anything.

This is supposed to be a blog review for that Shurikenjin I mentioned last time, but due to my sickness over the past few days after returning here to the Philippines, I decided to postpone it for early next month.

That's all for now, and we'll be seeing you again on the next blog.

Zootron Delayed! / Blank Templates Coming Soon!

#foldabots #TheFoldabotsBlog #Zootron

After seeing the latest Lutabot of the month, Baluti, which was the armadillo that forms as a weapon for Zootron. According to his bio, he comes with his clones (he's basically like the Sweeps from Transformers G1) and he's a triple-changer composing of his Lutabot, armadillo, and ball modes. Also mentioned in his bio, that he's "Zootron's WRECKING BALLS" (awkward?) I find it a little humorous for a reason, but really, I prefer considering him not be called that anyway.

Now, Tindig will be on next month's issue finally filling up the right arm, but it will not include combiner parts again, which we'll be officially complete the set by July which will include (un)necessary parts such as Zootron's head (which was made by a great Folda-Fan) a sword which I don't need it much, and the fireball effect for Baluti.

With Zootron done, there's still no news about the next combiner after this. In fact, August to December 2015 could involve the upcoming Toy Book 8, which we could get Dark Tikbalang, Super Astig (From Dec'08), The Sporticons, and the Lutabot Diadrones, this time. Last year may be memorable for veteran fans due to the long-waited reissue of Siklo, and well others if they never completed the sets before. But this year, we could also get the remaining six Maximum Lutant Arms, that can be placed on PUNSO, since there were seven slots, and Nu-Sho's staff is the first.

#FoldabotsMini

For the Foldabots Mini S2 remake and blanks, I will begin making the patterns next week, which will have the bio, specs, and abilities in a separate page where you can fill this up and make your character stand out.

Each template will have a lot of parts which you have the choice to choose which part you want, since most of the pieces will be there for your convenience.

The header of the page will be where you can place your (Fold/Lut)abot's name, and beside it, is where you can place the sub-group if that character belongs to a combiner team. The bio space will be 10 lines long, big enough to fit either a long or a short bio of your character.

The Robot and Alt Modes each have 2 lines if you want to put your character's unique abilities, there's also a check box before the Robot Mode description if your work is a Foldabot, Lutabot, or neither if you want to make non-canon characters but using the Foldabots System.

For the character's specs, you'll have to shade the boxes depending on how strong or weak your character is. there are five boxes each for INTelligence, ENDurance, STRength, Special SKill, and SPeeD.

The instructions will still be in the pattern page itself, though it will be only for the template you've used, but it will not include combiner building guides since it's up to you to make the configuration.

And now, to make things more interesting, I decided to schedule each of my upcoming blogs so I don't get rushed on making my stuff and hot. So, this has been The Foldabots Blog, we'll see you next time and please do check out the listed schedules below, and please look forward to them!

Foldabots 9th Anniversary Special!

#foldabots #TheFoldabotsBlog

May is FOLDABOTS MONTH! Why you asked? This month, we celebrate Foldabots' anniversary, and as a part of the celebration, my friend Hooded Cloak is showcasing this year's Foldabots Summer Workshop creations by you, the Folda-Fans.

#Zootron Update

Meanwhile, let's talk about Zootron again. Remember, we still have one arm missing, and a confirmed sixth member will fill up for the missing parts. However, to those on Facebook, there is an ongoing art contest for Zootron's head and weapon style. Be sure to check that out, lads. The full review on Zootron will be moved to June, once we get the last Zoobot.

The SHOUKAN!

Recently, I picked up this nice plastic model kit down in a specialty store somewhere, and it was quite a bargain. Imagine, all 5 parts for a bearable price of over PHP 1600 in our money (I was planning to get this other one which has 6 parts and really the rarest one I've ever seen). It's size is pretty good, can be a toy on the go, and it had a lot of articulations. I will post the full review real soon, complete with photos.

Dagitaborg and Other Foldabot Pattern Updates

I have finished making the draft pattern of all four Foldabots, and I found the two having real complex designs like I expected. Of course, this needs paperclips.

I'm also planning to test most of my other made patterns as soon as I got them printed out. The design I already made don't need a lot of paperclips, which is ideal for saving stuff.

#combinerwars

I also got a glimpse on Transformers Generations: Combiner Wars toys on sale in a hypermarket nearby. I was going to buy the full Menasor lineup, but sadly, I never bought them yet, but the good side, is I'm aiming for this other Stunticon called Brake-Neck (a.k.a. Wildrider) which according to sources, this and Quickslinger (a.k.a. Slingshot) are exclusive to some retailers and online stores such as Toys R Us and Big Bad Toy Store.

No New Patterns Yet...

And for those who want new patterns, I'm sorry that I have no patterns for you this time due to my busy life and had no time to make new ones. I am also planning to make Foldabot templates for those who want to make their very own designs (either hand-drawn or digitally) just like in the Summer Workshop. However, the patterns will be based on the Foldabots Mini system for your convenience. The patterns will be made up of blank pieces but with a few gluing parts and a blank space for your original character's name.

Wrapping Up...

Well, the fact having to see rookie Folda-Fans' works in action pleases me in a way, and up until now, I still don't have the May issue of K-Zone which contains the fifth Zoobot.

Also, I'm into LEGO again after getting interested in using their software LEGO Digital Designer once more. With this, I could try making the UberZord using virtual bricks and my imagination.

I will be back with the Candy Toy MiniPla Shurikenjin Review (there, I said it!) on the next blog. And until then, this has been The Foldabots Blog, see you next time!
