Road to Toy Book 8 Ep. 2 of 3

#foldabots #TheFoldabotsBlog

So yes, we're just one month away from the most exciting time of the year. No no, not christmas, I'm talking about Toy Book 8 coming our way this November 8, if it's official. I still haven't got the KZ anniversary issue which will have the second part of Toxicus.

Episode 2: Folda-Fans on DeviantArt / Foldabots for Adult Fans

Weeks ago, I discovered that a lot of original (not official) patterns scattered around DA. If you have read my earlier blogs about it, here's the link. This proves a sign that we can post our self-made patterns there, and not repeating the same mistakes we did back in Facebook such as asking for back issues or official patterns whatsoever. This is what true cooperation is all about and don't be jealous of what your fellow Folda-Fan has not because he (or she) is a veteran collector or just got a lot from the past Toy Books. Charles David, John Dave, and 'you know who' were probably the ones who have most of the original patterns posted there (including ones which I made back in 2008). Aside from which, there is still no (official or unofficial) group for Foldabots on DeviantArt.

Some of us would base these characters on other canons than Foldabots (in form of crossovers), some would think of a never used idea and basically making our own OCs (original characters), and eventually making our own adaptation to the official story in forms of fan fictions.

Even so, a lot us veterans are getting older and probably moved on to different interests in life (not to mention me, probably focused on South Park Fandom). But still, as Foldabots turn 10 next year (alongside the upcoming Elections which a lot of us don't care), most of the earlier fans will mature into teenagers and some into adults, and eventually we need something more appropriate for our age, And K-Zone is not the answer to fans outgrowing the notion of grabbing the monthly issues, which is where our younger generation would take part on this era.

Now, my idea is to make a third party company, like in Transformers have a lot of 3PCs doing what Hasbro or Takara-Tomy would not do. If a older fan hates a certain design made by the companies, he turns to the third party to get the custom parts, or even a figure. I am just one of the good examples of a third party Foldabots maker (and one example of the toys is the Foldabots Mini series remade just last year.) Maybe, just maybe, third party may be the answer to our problems, unless we profit from the patterns we made by ourselves by earning money just like Foldabots' very creator Jomike Tejido.

Unlike the past episode, this is relatively short, aside from not having the October issue yet, which I will mention however in my next blog or somewhat relevant. Until then, this has been The Foldabots Blog, we'll see you next time! And now, here's something to conclude this episode.

Explain why I posted this in the first place. It's just a familiar logo only flattened the colors to make it match with the new.
That's everything for this episode, and next month, will cover my reactions on Toy Book 8 itself. Again, we'll see you next time!
