Thank You For 40K!
After knowing my blog has reached over 40,000 pageviews thanks to you the avid Folda-Fans who never stop supporting me over the past few years, I was blessed and appreciated even for this little offering. Hope we can make it up to a million or more, because this is just the beginning of a great Summer 2015 for all you graduates and those who finished a wonderful School Year 2014-15.
One Zoobot More To Go!
As for the Zootron update, I just picked up the April issue with the third contest winner (slash) fourth Zoobot named Komando, created by our fellow Folda-Fan Luis Gabriel Gomez. Like most of the past Zoobots I mentioned already, I will make a full review of them, once I get the May issue next month It could be moved to June if the last member don't include the gestalt parts. I swear it won't because Naranja and Leonator's animal heads form as the feet and I guess Zootron doesn't need hands either.
More New Inspirations!
With Korean toys like Tobot and (Hello) Carbot stepping in to the scene, it gave new ideas for my next project which I will show you in May. The idea of my new combiner is a lot like Dobletron (one of my early creations and can be found on this link.) only it had a different formation where one unit forms the top part and another forms the bottom part, specifically the legs. The units will be exclusively land vehicles, will only have four members, and can combine into two small gestalts or as one super giant. The names of the Dagitabots will be Galit (the orange truck), Tahak (the green off-roader), Banat (the cyan sports car), and Daloy (the violet coupe). Galit and Daloy forms into Daganator, while Tahak and Banat forms into Tumbakron. Finally, Daganator and Tumbakron forms into Dagitaborg.
Crystal Robot and Grand Phoenix Review Coming Soon!
I promised to myself to grab those toys, right? I'm also planning to do the review this April after the 6th anniversary reviews lined up, and the pictures of course will be here.
Hope to look forward to these real soon, because I'm so excited to finally complete Zootron probably late next month and there will be more surprises awaits everyone. Until then, this has been The Foldabots Blog, see you next time.

Jewel Guardian: Another Original Combiner
#TheFoldabotsBlog
HOW IT ALL BEGAN...
What inspired me was this gestalt from a Chinese animated show "Crystal Warrior" to make this new combiner if you don't have the guts of looking hard for this toy, unless if you're me when I see the full set already available in the toy section in the supermarket.
THE IDEA
Now, the name Jewel Guardian might sound awkward a bit, but it has some similarities from that series. First, is it has the same five units in the set. Second, is that its alternate forms are equivalent of the jets (Fighters) in the show which also combines into a larger jet which is loosely named after the ship in Science Ninja Team (Kagaku Ninja Tai) Gatchaman (or Battle of the Planets, G-Force: Guardians of Space, Eagle Riders). And third, the color schemes are almost the same.
Still have no idea? Here are some videos I found where one is showing the actual robot from the show, and another is a slide show of the actual toy. Take note that the toy has some kibble in the arms.

And here is the review of the Grand Phoenix, which is of course where I got the idea of the combining jet gimmick.

I also thought of getting the toy myself, and try to review it right here soon.
Now, onto the other toy...
Harnessing Foldabots technology, Jewel Guardian is made up of five Guards representing the five elements fire, water, wood, metal, and earth. Each individual robot has a capability of transforming into a jet (equivalent of the ones in Crystal Warrior) and just like that, they can also combine into the Prism Phoenix (another pun). Now, I didn't give them Agimat crests nor Lutant splats, because they belong to a different canon. I was also going to give them like orbs in their chests like the actual robots from the show, but think of this idea is just making carbon copy of the original designs. Instead, I give them gems somewhere in their bodies, for when they combine, the gems can be seen from even in the front. You'll also need at least 3 paperclips for the gestalt.
GUARD LITHOS
The first of the five Guards and he represents EARTH. He's the big guy, but size wise, all of the five are of the same size except for two which are not as wide as the rest. Lithos forms as the two legs of Jewel Guradian and the rear section of Prism Phoenix.
GUARD FERROM
The second member representing METAL and the one having the weirdest formation in the combiner. Ferrom forms the waist of Jewel Guardian and the middle part of Prism Phoenix.
GUARD FLORA
Like its Crystal Warrior counterpart, she is the only female unit. She represents WOOD, which where plants and flowers are under. Flora forms the left arm of Jewel Guardian and the left wing of Prism Phoenix. You will also get the Copy Sword in this pattern as well.
GUARD HYDRO
The second to the last of the Guards representing WATER. Barely the same design and esthetics as above, he is built almost the same way. Hydro forms as the right arm of Jewel Guardian and the right wing of Prism Phoenix. Here also includes the Spectrum Sword which is basically the same as the other one.
GUARD PYRON
The leader of the Guards representing FIRE and probably I did a lot of gimmicks including combining the helmet and chest plate into one piece which also becomes a part of the actual jet as well instead of being a separate accessory. Pyron forms the torso and head of Jewel Guardian and the front section of Prism Phoenix.
JEWEL GUARDIAN and PRISM PHOENIX
Combined, the five can either be as a big jet, or as a giant robot. Prism Phoenix is the combined jet very similar to Jet Baron (Brave of the Sun Fighbird) in one way. The design is a bit simple, yet I do like how the wings of Hydro and Flora form as the large rudders and the shape is nearly a triangle.
Jewel Guardian in the other hand is a more likely a 'Sentai-esque' robot due to Pyrom, the red robot, forms the central torso and head. Like I said, Ferrom forms into the legs in an unusual way. In order for you to really capture the experience, you can put the two swords but in an unusual way (One of the recent works, UberZord also uses a sword, but it's not placed on its hand due to the design limitations.) which gives Jewel Guardian weapons to fight down evil.
SUMMARY
This new creation may not be the best yet, but of course Jewel Guardian is a must have for some. I myself am happy that even for a simple design like this. And before I conclude, I'm going to show you something I did to my LEGO kits which is a little hard to memorize after figuring out on how to make the parts.

Note: I didn't use the parts from the ones with the minifigs and just focus on the cars and truck.
Well, since we're halfway done with the Zoobots, I'll be back real soon with another blog featuring my upcoming Foldabots reviews. And this has been THE FOLDABOTS BLOG, we'll see you then!

An Unusual Event
#foldabots #TheFoldabotsBlog
I recently checked out my YouTube videos to see any progress a few days ago, whether there's a new comment or a like. But that's not the case I checked them. A COPYRIGHT ISSUE struck me. I know it's annoying if you use soundtracks that are not yours, especially if it was played on your old PSP. Now, this is where I had to do edit the video and finally replace it with a royalty-free music, or make a new version of the video without doing the same mistake from last time. Speaking of which, I have made that new video right here.
I usually do my videos without any music and record them whenever it's a quiet day, so nothing gets compromised. Another upcoming reviews in line for my YouTube channel's 6th anniversary is a massive video review of Mikrokosmos, Saurotron, Yelotron, and Pestetron. Look forward to those reviews, Folda-Fans. And just this yesterday, I also got K-Zone's 150th issue which of course included a new lanyard (and the first of the badges missing again.) and this month's Zoobot, LEONATOR. I will further review on them once I completed them. Until next time, this has been The Foldabots Blog, we'll see you next time!
