It had been 6 months since my last blog, and just after some anonymous stranger sent me a scan of the last Magmabot I've been missing forever, I've thought of remaking this through a software I've been using lately--Inkscape.
With Inkscape, and scanned patterns, I strive to make replica patterns which will be almost accurate to the released version, and a bit like the original version which can be seen here. As I began tracing out the patterns although if I can recall right, my Sunog and Usok patterns were printed off-framed, causing some parts to be cropped. This is where I'll work on rebuilding them from what I can do. Apart from such, I'll also give them alternate names, thinking I'm like a 3PC (Third Party Company).

As for some new designs, one of my fellow friends are making new Foldabot designs, in which I would like to share someday on this site in November.
Apart from the attempt to make a Magmatron 3P design, I've been doing other papercrafts like some designed on SketchUp then migrate to Pepakura Designer, and this new thing called Poplocks. I will send some links on another post to those interested along with some of my best works.
Another one is my plans on making Foldabots it own Creative Commons License, in which it could be a hard job since I'm needing help from everyone to make this happen, and I want every fan, young, old, new, and veteran to benefit from it as much as Tejido will because it's his creation.
And next time, I'll discuss about using colored paper and monochrome patterns, to help save your printer's color inks. Also, I'll point out some tips and tricks on how to make patterns on Inkscape.
