2012 Year-Ender - Project: Foldabots: Complete Works

What is Foldabots Toy Book?

This is a compilation of various Foldabots 2-in-1 Toy Patterns consisting of new exclusive releases and old characters given a new improved pattern.

In my point of view, the Foldabots Toy Book series is a good idea to bring back old favorites like Buhawi, Elementron, and Pasada.

Foldabots Toy Book Volume 1

The first volume consists of nothing but revisions of old favorites, some of them came from the Metallized Zone Series which include Patrol, Astig, Kislap, Liyab, and Karera. When you collect all five characters, you are bound to build the sixth Foldabot in the set--Metrotren. Also in the set are the Elementrobots, where your goal is to collect the four sets to make Elementron. The only difference in the book was the characters in the Metallized Zone Series are not metallic anymore. The Elementrobots had suffered some changes in the design, Siklab's T-connector is now on the bottom than behind his head, Tutubi's middle piece in his helicopter blades is missing, and Alon and Agos now look identical and their connectors are replaced with the old-fashioned connection method from the original version, unless you notice the double right arms of Agos, plus the top part was missing due to the limit of pattern sheets in the book. The only additions of the set was Buhawi, Bangis, and Lu-Sho. In addition to the book, you also have a set of 14 game cards and a die for this purpose.

Foldabots Toy Book Volume 2

This is the second installment of the book series where a new set of reissues were included. To start the set, we have the Mitochrons where they had the biggest improvements in design. Tikbalang's horse head is now placed on the back rather than in front of his face, Nuno is now as tall as Tikbalang and he turns into a blue Honda Jazz/Fit, P.U.N.S.O. suffered a lot by downgrading from a complex piece to a flat card-like panel and he doesn't combine with the rest of the set unless you insert it inside Kapre, Manananggal seems to be the tallest of all the members but the most complex of the set, and Kapre also had the most improvements in the set where his tank form is the most detailed. As Higantechron, the overall design is almost like the original version and the addition of the detachable tank turret is a work if a genius. The Aquabots also had some minor improvements like Alona's dolphin head is not flat anymore. Lupet now has another pet named Sipit (Originally named Sipitron) makes a good addition along with Uwak. This also includes four characters that were metallic printed, the first two were Pasada where he got the biggest upgrade, and Kidlat the last Foldabot originally issued before the modern designs were used. There were also two new evil characters, Sigwa and Delubyo are known to be Lutabots (formerly known as Mechanoid Lutants.) This volume only had 13 sheets rather than 14 and there were only 11 cards still due to the sheet limit, and Kapre, Butandrone, and their respective combiner cards were not in the set.

Foldabots Toy Book Volume 3

Having Gubatron reissued again for the this volume is a good sign, but the bad sign is the whole combiner group didn't have a 'Major Upgrade' like the cover said, the truth is the connector on Kagat is now on Kuwago, probably to balance the concept of Gubatron. There are four new characters in this volume including Sundo the Mitsubishi L300 FB school service vehicle, Xi-Takk the taxi (His design was based off Patrol,) Kongkretron the cement mixer truck, and Pison the steamroller. This set is the smallest and there were 6 cards due to the limit. The addition of this book was they reissued Foldabots: Dark Ages, the strategy board game which has a Dungeons and Dragons kind of theme. I'll explain more about Dark Ages in another blog.
Dark Ages covers 5 out of the 14 pattern sheets in this volume.

Foldabots Toy Book Volume 4

This was released last year, and this is personally my favorite. The Mikrobots in this volume not only they get a 'Real Major Upgrade', but also they're battle ravaged. This also includes the three 'original' Aura-San Foldabots and a fully 3D Blup figurine. The exclusive characters in this one is Landas, the Foldabot Triple-Changer who turns into a Hyundai Tucson, and the other is Buhatron, the giant Lutabot carrier truck. The bonuses in this volume are the Ultimate Agimat Force Weapons for the Mikrobots, and the 11-inch Astig papercraft figure. I have nothing to say about this one, but this is perhaps the best volume so far.

Foldabots Toy Book Volume 5

Just this November, the latest volume of the Foldabots Toy Book features a double-cover special with Saurotron and Yelotron on either sides. This also featured the Foldabot Diadrones and Sagip. But the biggest enigma was since it had 16 patterns in it, the only Foldabot that was never featured in the covers was Kalasag, who also had a big upgrade. Badly for those who expect the prehistoric rivals, the patterns of both the Saurobots and the Yelobots were unchanged and never had not even a single improvement. Sagip does have some improvements including his new accessories, and Kalasag as well had some add-ons. But the main headline of the book was the Diadrones, these come in pairs and also combine in pairs. For me, although this had a lot of errors in the pages, but the patterns are the best, especially for the Diads.

Errors

Speaking of errors, I noticed a lot of hoaxes and errors recently in all the volumes. One is Alon and Agos misses their glowing Agimat crests and left out with black crests on them. Kalmot's speed is although printed out max but if you look closely it only had two divisions. Kalasag is suppose to have an Agimat crest in his art, but the pattern has it. Liyab's glow is off-centered, Lupet's friendship with Astig was not mentioned in his description, and at the back of the Toy Book 3 cover, you'll see there are two Toy Book 2 covers in it, probably from rushing that caused the problem. If you see the back of Toy Book 4, there were also typographical errors like "...Landas the first Foldabots Triple-Changer..." Sounds weird? They forgot to remove the s from Foldabots, that was also an annoying part. Kalmot in the fifth volume, had a lot of errors in his bio. One of it is the Speed gauge is so wrong but right, although the meter is full but there were only two divisions which is still meaningful to us. The next one is his descriptions for his Lutabot and Ground Sloth modes were swapped. Now the next error was in Karga's bio where at his alternate form reads 'Forklift' but he's not a forklift like Tinidrone. The better description for him is a 'Open Van Truck.'

The reason I made this blog, is to correct what is wrong and revise the whole Foldabots Toy Book series all over again. This is the vision of Foldabots Toy Book: Complete Works Edition.

What Differs Complete Works From The Original?

It's simple, there are several design fixes in this version where all of the errors are gone. For those who are gonna expect all the cards from the whole series, this one has it all, especially for the ones that were missed, like Kapre, Butandrone, Tamarax, Higantechron, Aquatikron, Gubatron, Konkretron, Pison, the Mikrobots with Mikrokosmos, the Aura-Sans(There is also an option for this to be excluded for the card game), Landas, and all combiners from volume 5. What also makes this good is it has two versions of the book, the regular version, and the metallic print version.

Foldabots Toy Book: Complete Works 1

Since there were only 10 out of the 13 characters in Vol.1, they get a metallic print and all the Metallized Zone parts included in Complete Works M1. This now uses the original and unedited
artworks that were first seen in K-Zone Philippines.

Foldabots Toy Book: Complete Works 2

In Complete Works 2, The bios are updated and now uses unedited and original artworks, and the numbering of all the characters follow after the first one (i.e.: Tikbalang is now #14) and the combiners Higantechron and Aquatikron will be renumbered as CS-2 and CS-3 which follows Elementron from CW1. Aside from that, this is the first time you are going to build Pasada, Kidlat, and the first two Lutabots in either their plain version or again in their metallic print on Complete Works M2. CW2 now has 14 sheets rather than 13 due to the addition of the four new cards released exclusively on the Complete Works Edition.

Foldabots Toy Book: Complete Works 3

Complete Works 3 has the same numbering scheme as the previous two and it is followed after #26 Delubyo. Which means, Ramo is numbered #27. It also has the addition of all the four unused Agimat Game Cards. The biggest problem is how are we going to fit them? Simple, add the two sheets with the extra cards in it to make it 16 sheets. In Complete Works M3 in the other hand, you may build Sundo and the three Lutabots in metallic print.

Foldabots Toy Book: Complete Works 4

Now, Complete Works 4 has 10 characters plus the numbering starting with #36 for Sapotron, the removal of Masterpiece Astig and the addition of all 6 cards for the Mikrobots, all 4 for Bakunawa Dragon, and Landas. That's 11 new exclusive cards! Take note that the 3 Aura-San cards are going to be placed with their respective pattern sheets. The 8 remaining will be on the four sheets replacing MP Astig. In Complete Works M4, Landas, Buhatron, and the Aura-Sans will have a metallic print.

Foldabots Toy Book: Complete Works EX

For those who are looking for that Masterpiece Figure, it will be placed on Complete Works EX, where you may get to build your Dark Ages game board in cardboard and more new game props are added like trees, mountains, Nipa huts, and more! CWEX has 4 sheets for MP Astig, 6 for Dark Ages Expansion, and 5 more for the cards for CW5 (Saurotron, Yelotron, Sagip, Kalasag, and all four Diadrones including their combined forms.) The one last card is for Sporticus and Buhawi's Ultimate Agimat Force Sabre. In short, Complete Works EX has all the extra stuff to add in your collection.

Foldabots Toy Book: Complete Works 5

Finally, Complete Works 5 has the rest of the cards found in CWEX including the individual Saurobots and the Yelobots, due to the extra space. Some of the designs on both combiner teams were fixed and the blue folding lines on all the Saurobots are finally replaced with black or white broken lines. Sisid's unwanted cutting lines were removed, and the bios were fixed. The numbering will start with #46, and just like the other combiners it will be numbered separately again like in the previous four. The Foldabot Diadrones are numbered as DX1.

Now that 2012 is about to end, let's not turn back to our dark pasts and move into the bright future together. For me, I'll be doing another novel, or maybe test some of my new prototypes. Perhaps I'm going to focus on posting more blogs this 2013. We'll also look forward to Foldabots Toy Book Volume 6 at the end of the year.

Well, this ends my blog and hope you like it! See you in 2013!

Another Original Combiner: CELTRON

Have you ever notice most of the Foldabot combiners around, usually composes of mostly male units? Sometimes, there's only one female unit in that team. Manananggal from the Mitochrons, Alona from the Aquabots, Alita from the Mikrobots, Aura-San 3, Tusok from the Saurobots, Sisid from the Yelobots, Amihan(ator) from the Supremobots, Mothara from the Pestebots, and recently Violeta of the Sporticons, are the only examples of female units in any combiner.

Obviously, Foldabots is morely for boys and not for girls. But if you would imagine if you would see a girl doing this, then it would be this girl from my fanfic, "Foldabots MegaMix."
Cynthia Tetico (pronounced as SYNTH-ee-ah TEDDY-ko,) a teenage girl who has interests not only in singing, but also in the terms of collecting robot cut-outs from a magazine and build them... You already know what that is, guys...
Now, back to topic, the other reason for us not to have more than one female Bot in the pack is the designers don't usually make girl Foldabot or Lutabot designs. I, in the other hand, I made a few ladies like Lully, Pipit, Kindat, and Erotika. In my other original combiner, Bahaghari, there are two female units rather than one. But the biggest impact is I actually made a Foldabot combiner team that is made up of nothing but girls! That's right, girls. I also thought of "why not make a combiner out of different kinds of mobile phones?" And that's where I fused the two ideas together to make this one.

My concept arts for the "Celbots" and the one on the upper left is "Celtron"
The CELBOTS were named after the word cellphone--the group's alt forms. Each of the Celbots are capable of disguising as cellphones of any shape or size.

There are five Celbots forming CELTRON. And first on the list are BUKA, the flip-top cellphone, and DULAS, the slide-up cellphone.
The first two Celbots: Buka and Dulas. Notice Dulas' other parts are missing.
Both Buka and Dulas forms the legs of Celtron, Buka for the right leg, and Dulas for the left leg.

Next up, we got PINDOT, the cellphone with a keypad of a computer or in short, a "QWERTY" kind of phone.
Pindot is on the left side of the pattern sheet and I added Dulas' top part and Celtron's head piece in this one.
Pindot has a design similar to the ones from Komyutatron and Kontrolion. She forms both arms of Celtron.

Lastly, we have TURO, the iPhone, and Anli the bar-type phone that can use two SIM cards at the same time. Anli's name was based from the common term for unlimited text messaging known as 'unlitext.'
Turo and Anli are made almost the same way, except for the length variation.
Just like Bangga and Bunggo of the Komyutabots, they both form the torso of Celtron, the difference is Turo would form the lower part, while Anli forms the upper part.

If you want to build Celtron for your self, here's the instruction guide below.

HAVE FUN, FOLDA-FANS!!!

Pre-Birthday Special BONUS: Re:Siklo

Recently, I saw this picture of Kalasag (the one from Sept. '06 K-Zone issue) and Siklo (from Nov. '07,) and looked carefully on the design of Siklo and his sidecar looks really weak. Now, before I even saw what's really inside Foldabots Toy Book Vol.5, I drew some concept designs if these two and Tambak were reissued then. If you want to see these pictures, go see this blog.

I also noticed that when the pattern of reissued Siklo (My first design idea,) is published, there are so many sleeve parts and it would take you a long time to complete the figure itself. Now, after I checked on the old Siklo (the original one,) I decided to draw another concept art for him.
Siklo's Reissue Concept #2, shot by my old cellphone and was drawn on a scratch pad.
The new design is more simplified than the first drawing, but it now has 2 sleeves than 3, the sidecar's windshield is now re-attached at the base, just like the old version. The added part is the roof for the motorcycle which doubles as an optional add-on for the alt form of the sidecar. Just like the first design I made, the bike and the sidecar's wheel remains as it is.

And since I posted this one, 3 days before my birthday, I would like to thank you all for making this Foldabots Blog a success for me.

Pre-Birthday Special Part 2/2: CLASSICS COMBINERS: HIGANTECHRON and ELEMENTRON

In 2007, Foldabots introduced the first Combiner group with the theme of Philippine Mythical Creatures called the Mitochrons.

An early Foldabots poster featuring Higantechron on the right, a sample pattern of Patrol on the left, and Buhawi along with some of early designs and some of them were never published.

The first of the Mitochrons is Tikbalang, based on the creature itself, having a body of a human and a head and feet of a horse. In short, he's a demon horse. Tikbalang has the easiest conversion process in this set.
Mitochron Tikbalang, Original design by Jomike Tejido, Recreation by Me.
Tikbalang was released in the January 2007 issue of K-Zone Philippines, and then reissued in 2009 for Foldabots Toy Book Vol.2

The second Mitochron is Nuno and his computer P.U.N.S.O., based upon the concept of 'Nuno sa Punso' which literally means 'goblin of the mound'. Nuno turns into a blue car. P.U.N.S.O. acts as an addition this figure.
Mitochron Nuno with P.U.N.S.O., Original design by Jomike Tejido, Recreation by Me.
Nuno and P.U.N.S.O. was released in February 2007, and reissued in Toy Book 2.

The third Mitochron is Manananggal, a Foldabot based on an aswang that can split her body in half and fly with the lower half detached. In addition, the top part of this unit can turn into a bat.
Mitochron Manananggal, Original design by Jomike Tejido, Recreation by Me.
Manananggal was released in March 2007, and reissued in Toy Book 2.

The last Mitochron is Kapre, the leader of this team, and based on the filthy giant who smokes  huge rolls of cigars and hides in Balete trees. Kapre turns into a green military tank.
Mitochron Kapre, Original design by Jomike Tejido, Recreation by Me.
Kapre was released in April 2007, and reissued in Toy Book 2.

The Mitochrons combine together to form Higantechron, the first Foldabot Combiner ever released.

The second combiner released on that same year has a different theme from Higantechron. This combiner is all based on the four elements this time and it's named the Elementrobots.
Elementron Box Art from Metallized Zone Series using the Modern designs (Edited by Me.)

Siklab, the first of the Elementrobots represent fire. He turns into a white SUV with flame decals in it. He first debuted in the July 2007 issue of K-Zone Philippines and later came out in the Metallized Zone Series in early 2008. He and the other Elementrobots were also returned in the very first Foldabots Toy Book.
Elementrobot Siklab, Original design by Jomike Tejido, Recreation by Me.

Tutubi, the second Elementrobot represent air. A rescue helicopter designed to save anybody at all costs. Just like Siklab, Tutubi debuted on August 2007 and reissued the same way as Siklab.
Elementrobot Tutubi, Original design by Jomike Tejido, Recreation by Me.
Ukay, the third and the leader of the Elementrobots represent earth. Turns into a massive excavator machine, this powerhouse buries his enemies down to the ground. Ukay debuted in September 2007 and reissued later on.
Elementrobot Ukay, Original design by Jomike Tejido, Recreation by Me.
Alon and Agos, the last members of the Elementrobots represent water. As two separate Foldabots, they can work together as twins. I, myself refer these two as 'Twinbots' a Foldabot with two separate Bots but with one shared alt form. This terminology also applies on the Tentaclones from the Aquabot team. Twinbots doesn't have to be related to Diadrones like Tu-Lock and Tinidrone. Their alt form is a cargo ship. Alon and Agos debuted in October 2007 where Agos was then called Layag (I also call the ship itself, M/V Layag in honor of that name) and later reissued in Metallized Zone and Toy Book 1.

Altogether, the Elementrobots combine to form Elementron, master of elements and the second combiner ever released.

Pre-Birthday Special Part 1/2: Reactions on TOY BOOK 5

Now, I just noticed one of my Facebook friends actually posted some of the images from Foldabots Toy Book Vol.5. I was right, it had the Saurobots, the Yelobots, the Foldabot Diadrones, and Sagip all in the book.

The only one I never noticed is Kalasag was also inside that book. If you want to look at my possible design for him, click here. That means, all of the characters released in 2006, are now completely reissued. Aside from '06, 2009 is also done.

So far, the only ones left from 2007 to 2010, that are never reissued yet, are the following:
1. Siklo (Tricycle Foldabot from November 2007)
2. Tambak (Garbage Dump Truck Lutabot from February 2010)
3. Trosotron (Open Van Trailer Truck Lutabot from April 2010)
4. Rangkada (Jeepney Lutabot from May 2010)
5. Guhitron (Pen Foldabot from June 2010)
6. Sulatron (Pen Lutabot from July 2010)

Also in the list is the special version of Astig which was design by a fan and won the contest for the best design. Here's a scan from the December 2008 issue of K-Zone Philippines where it was featured. The image was originally uploaded from shihofranz.multiply.com
Astig Special Version has a different design but the same building process with the addition of extra parts.
The 2011 to 2012 characters are not yet reissued until now. But we could expect Komyutatron, Kontrolion, and the six mentioned above, in the next volume of the Foldabots Toy Book Series.

Of course, it's one week from my birthday, and I would like to post this blog as my advanced birthday offering and this is just part one. Part two is about CLASSICS COMBINERS done by me!

Pre-Toy Book Launch Special #4 - Possible Comebacks on TB6 Next Year!

Now that Toy Book 5 is coming this Sunday, we'll bring you our last part of our Pre-Launch Special!

On this part, we'll give you a sneak peek to what's inside Foldabots Toy Book Volume 6, in 2013!

If you would remember on our first special, I gave some ideas of how the remaining old Foldabots (and Lutabots) will get a totally new look, if they were finally reissued after years of waiting. These could be candidates for our next Toy Book, in 2013.

Now, aside from Kalasag, Siklo, Tambak, Trosotron, and Rangkada, (Guhitron and Sulatron, if possible,) Komyutatron and Kontrolion could be there too.

The two Luta-Gestalts I've mentioned was first seen in the first nine months of 2011. Komyutatron is mostly made of triple-changing Lutabots except for the last one came out in May of that year. Its theme is based on PUVs like buses and Tamaraw FX taxis and the MRT. It's also the first combiner to have two units to form just the torso. Kontrolion is a dragon like Bakunawa, only with 4 units instead of 3, which I believe is a huge mismatch. Another difference is a female Lutabot makes up the body of this vicious beast. There was also a hidden gimmick I found when you combine both Komyutatron and Kontrolion to make 'Komyutatrolion'--the first combiner to have 9 units in it.
Plus, if this idea would work, then two years from now, we would have Pestetron and the four Sporticons in Volume 7!

That's all I can share to you all and be sure to pick up a copy of Foldabots Toy Book Volume 5 to recreate the exciting battle of epic prehistoric proportions between the Jurassic Saurobots and the Ice Age Yelobots! Also in the book, get to build Barena, Karga, Tu-Lock, and Tinidrone--the Foldabot Diadrones! And Sagip too, complete with new accessories!

Be sure to read the other blogs here! 1 2 3

Pre-Toy Book Launch Special #3 - SAUROTRON VS. YELOTRON (Original Version)

Foldabots Toy Book Volume 5 is a double-cover edition which you would have one side has Saurotron's picture on the cover along with Sagip and others, and the other side has Yelotron instead. I personally predicted this before and it turned out to be a reality. Perhaps this book has the same number of pattern sheets as the previous one.

Before you grab yourself a copy of Toy Book 5, check out this set of patterns I scanned last summer...

Take note, that these are for viewing only, if you want to download them, you'll be sorry...

1. Sugod and Tusok

2. Bato and Talim with Dagundong's head, tail, and one leg.

3. Dagundong and Pangil

4. Sisid and Umbok

5. Kalmot and Sungay

Specials: 1 2

Next time... We are wrapping up this blog series with some Folda-Luta match-ups, so STICK AROUND!

Pre-Toy Book Launch Special #2 - Little Revisions

Remember when I first opened this blog? There were a few flaws on some of my patterns which I never bother until I tested them a few days ago.

The first imperfection was Lully's top panel is a little shorter than the main body. Aside from that, the stylus pen is too narrow to fit the paperclip and the arms were a little stubby though. Next, Kindat's scope part is a little oblique at the back, and the rest of her was still good. And finally, Erotika's engine block is indeed too big when glued onto the main body, causing the motorcycle mode to stand on the engine block itself than standing on its wheels. I actually made some few adjustments on these patterns based on the results of my tests.

Here is the remodified versions of these patterns...
Notice the arms are now located below the main body, the stylus pen is now wider and perhaps can fit a medium-sized paperclip, and lastly, the parts for the top panel is as wide as the main body.
The back piece is shorter than the old one.
The glue part for the engine block is now a notch but the glue part on the engine block remained the same.
Up next, is something that really involves Toy Book 5!

See the previous post HERE!

Pre-Toy Book Launch Special #1 - Reissue Ideas!

In exactly 9 days until Foldabots Toy Book Volume 5 hits the shelves, The Foldabots Blog will give you a sneak peek of what's inside that Toy Book and ideas from the genius behind this blog!

To begin, let's recap the contents of Toy Book 5. There are 16 different Foldabots and Lutabots that can be created, 10 of it belongs to the prehistoric rivals--the Saurobots a
nd the Yelobots, the other 4 goes to the Foldabot Diadrones Tu-Lock, Tinidrone, Barena, and Karga, whereas the other two belongs to Sagip and an unknown character.

Now, Sagip was first debuted in the first Foldabots Mini promo back in 2009 as this ambulance. He was then up-sized in the March 2010 issue of K-Zone Philippines. Finally, this Foldabot medic is back with something new on the latest volume of the Foldabots Toy Book. Aside from the back panel is now completely attached onto the main body, there is another bonus part, probably the little cart that can be placed inside the ambulance.

Sagip isn't the only one reissued in this book, the Saurobots (from August 2009 to January 2010, excluding November due to the papercraft Omnitrix from Ben 10 Alien Force) and Yelotron (August to December 2010) were also included.

And now we move on to some of the possible design concepts made by our resident Admin...

Foldabot Kalasag Reissue Concept, captured on my cellphone this morning. Among all of the first 8 Foldabots released in 2006, this is the only one left that is never reissued until now. The pattern style is a cross between Bangis and Butandrone, while the design is modified from Kagat.
Foldabot Siklo Reissue Concept, also captured this morning as well, and I believe this has a huge change to the pattern aside from Siklo himself is based off Kislap and the sidecar is as realistic and complex as Pasada from Toy Book 2. Like his old version, Siklo has this sidecar that can turn into his little pod, but on this one, that sidecar got a major facelift by making it more versatile than before. The wheel on the sidecar is now detachable by a paperclip which can be placed on either side of the sidecar, it also doubles as a shield for Siklo.
Lutabot Tambak Reissue Concept, the third and perhaps the last idea I came up with. Tambak is now a Liyab-esque Lutabot, still with some parts from the old release back in Feb'10. I also added a message that states Trosotron's reissue will be almost the same as Tambak, except with a platform trailer as big as Buhatron from Toy Book 4.
The last idea, which I never drawn, was Rangkada's reissue. The reason why is because Rangkada IS the duplicate of Pasada, and if you compare him (the old and current version) with the metallic printed Pasada from the second Foldabots Toy Book from 2009, you can tell that Pasada is a lot bigger than his carbon copy. The 'new' Rangkada is now based off Pasada (TB version) and has the horn ornament placed probably on top, instead of on the hood. The visor now bears the Lutabots' own sign and the K-Zone logo is replaced with the name Lu-Sho in a same fashion as the logo itself. The words 'ASTIG NA PINOY' is also replaced with 'WE ARE ALL EVIL.' The website 'foldabots.multiply.com' is now replaced due to Multiply will no longer exist in the future, with 'www.facebook.com/foldabotsofficial' that is written underneath the bumper.

Since this is the first blog I'll post before the day, I'll have three more posts coming up real soon, and on the next post, I'll upload some fixed patterns I recently made...

Instructions for BAHAGHARI

To Build:
1. Cut out the pattern on one sheet following the GREEN lines (RED for VERDE.)
2. Fold all BROKEN lines.
3. Glue the MAIN BODY to itself.
4. Glue all TIRES, ARMS, and ROOF onto the MAIN BODY.
5. For BAHAGHARI’S head, glue both HEAD A and HEAD B together. The parts can be found at AZUL and ROJO’s patterns.

To Convert Into Car:

1. Open the REAR TAB out and fold the FEET in, then close the tab back.
2. Open the FRONT TAB out and tuck both ARMS in, then close the tab back.
To convert back to Robot Mode, do the steps in reverse.
To Combine into BAHAGHARI:

1. Tuck all the ARMS of all units except for ROJO.

2. Leave the FRONT and REAR tabs of AZUL and VERDE open. Then insert them onto ROJO’s legs to form BAHAGHARI’S legs. The FRONT tabs form as feet.
3. Insert ROJO’S arms onto the slits on VIOLETA and MARILA to form BAHAGHARI’S arms.
4. Place BAHAGHARI’S head onto ROJO’S head to finish.
You may also swap all of BAHAGHARI’S parts to make more formations! All the units can form any part.

An Original Combiner: BAHAGHARI

I've been working on a lot of modifying on all of my FOLDABOTS Toy Patterns since some of them still had flaws until now. But there is one set I recently made for all of you.

Ever remember the FOLDABOTS MINI promo from a certain biscuit brand? The great thing about this, is you get the pattern at the back of the box. Another great thing about this is that there were 20 parts to collect (18 since the two are trailer parts) and combine them to make gestalts out of them. The set can make 3 full combiners, leaving 3 small ones out. Badly, unlike standard-size combiners, these doesn't have helmets or combiner heads to distinguish them as giants.

The set consists of 9 Foldabots that forms the arms, 6 forming the legs, 3 makes up the torso, and 2 trailer parts. Most of the set has units that have almost the same parts as the other. The electrical service truck and tow truck have the same pattern except for the roof placements, service ladder from one of them, and the winch arm from the other. The ambulance and armored car also has some differences aside from the siren piece present in the ambulance, they form the shortest pair of legs. The two car carrier trucks differ in their roof placements. The bus and MRT train both have the same pattern style to each other, same goes to the two jets. The only set that is totally different from the others are the delivery truck, the news helicopter, the F1 racing car, the jeepney, and the giant jackhammer machine.

What I missed?

Oh yeah, the three remaining Foldabots in this collection are the different colored cars. Azul was the first one in the first 8 released while Violeta and Verde (I didn't got him along with Batak and Habagat) were in the rest of the set.

I was inspired by this to make my own set. The expansion set I made, got 2 new cars I made up--Rojo and Marila. Technically, these were also the idea of making those Lutabot sports cars, which I will discuss, some other time. What I also found was this slit on their hands which could come in handy if there were 5 cars to form such gestalt. And that's where I came up with BAHAGHARI.

Bahaghari means 'rainbow' in Tagalog, and since there were 5 units named after colors...
This version is based on the original design and petterns. They were also the very first Foldabots who defeated Lu-Sho in 2050, from my novel "Foldabots MegaMix."
The instructions on how to build these is on another blog...

Welcome to my new home of my Foldabots Self-Made Toy Patterns, Fan Arts, and more!

Well, this is the first time I set up this Blogger, and this is (probably) the last time I'll touch my old site on Multiply (closing down soon...) You may have known me as kaiserranger from that network, well you'll all see my old and new patterns I'll upload here, and on Facebook.

To start, I decided to throw in my old patterns from Multiply which I also edited them a bit...
